On-demand streaming media is at the height of popularity right now. The ability to have our favorite movies, shows and programs available to us by just a few words or remote clicks has made phrases such as “binge-watching” and “Netflix and chill” part of our everyday vernacular.
I know it is a “first-world problem,” but who likes it when your streaming service gets disrupted? Whether it is a slow connection or a commercial break, disruptions are annoying. We want so much of our external life to be free of disruptions these days, but what about our internal self? Is our body functioning without disruptions?
What can disrupt how our body works? A vertebral subluxation.
A vertebral subluxation can slow down the connection between the brain and body, creating unwanted breaks in the flow of information. A subluxation creates spine imbalance and nerve tension. This nerve tension effects the sensitivity, perception and behavior of the Nerve System.
A subluxation makes nerve function go from “on-demand” to “loading, please wait.” When your streaming service gets slow, what do you do? You check and adjust the connection if need be. You make sure the WiFi router is behaving properly, sensing the signal adequately so it can perceive the information right.
That is exactly what we do in Chiropractic: we check the connection and adjust it if need be to make sure it is working at its greatest potential. Having communication alone doesn’t prevent unforeseen accidents or emergencies. High winds, downed trees and torrential rains can wreak havoc on your connection.
But the stronger the connection, the greater ability you have to adapt to those events. A strong connection allows you to “weather the storm” greater than if you had a weak connection. Chiropractic is the same. Chiropractic wants to make sure you have the greatest connection possible that can adapt to life’s events. Chiropractic is on-demand health at your service!
