Make America Healthy Again: The Vital Role of Chiropractic in Supporting Nervous System Function

A properly functioning Nerve System is vital for overall health and well-being. Quoting Dorland’s Medical Text: “An intact nervous system will lead to optimum functioning of the human body.” The reason is the Nerve System is the body's master control center. There are four main controlling functions of the Nerve System. Those functions are expressed as movement, sensation, regulation and relation. The Nerve System controls all muscle movements, senses everything we feel, regulates all our body organs and relates us to the outside world.

Chiropractic supports Nerve System function by removing a major hindrance to its expression. That hindrance is a vertebral subluxation. A vertebral subluxation is a spinal obstruction that interferes with nerve function between the brain and body. It occurs when nerves are stressed and tension misaligns the spine. The body senses, perceives and behaves at a suboptimal level. Quoting Dr. Chang H. Suh, PhD, “Vertebral Subluxation Complex causes not only structural dysfunction of the spine and adjacent tissues, but it also causes nerve dysfunction.”

Chiropractic supports overall wellness by correcting a vertebral subluxation through a spinal adjustment. An adjustment facilitates better communication between the brain and the body. This cultivates optimal nerve health.

The general state of health is predicated on how well nerves function. Chiropractic care fosters whole-body wellness that extends far beyond symptom management. This holistic approach paves the way for improved mental, physical, and emotional health.
